Yoga is one of the best all around exercises you can do – In addition to strengthen leg and arm muscles, yoga strengthens core and back muscles, which often helps relieve back pain. The non-impact workout yoga provides is easy on joints while helping to build strong bones and improve flexibility. The only question about doing yoga is how to adjust your schedule for yoga.
Another great thing about yoga is it can be done in your spare time, in five or ten minutes intervals, without any special equipment and without any major schedule adjustments. Squeezing in a few minutes of yoga here and there throughout the day is very doable and very beneficial, and at the end of the day, you’ll have 30 minutes to an hour’s worth of yoga under your belt.
As soon you wake up in the morning, do 5-10 minutes of light yoga stretches to get the blood pumping and joints limbered up. During the work day at break time and lunch time, perform a few sets of yoga stretches to relieve stress (both muscular and emotional) and increase energy. Then end your day with more yoga stretches to relax the body and encourage sleep.
